As an HR Business Partner at Karl Storz, you will provide advice to leadership regarding best practices to maximize employee efficiencies. This role will partner strategically and tactically with assigned leadership team(s) for the development and implementation of processes, programs, and solutions related to Human Resources including talent acquisition, talent management, change management, training, employee relations, compliance, performance management, compensation and benefits programs, career development and succession planning.  The ideal candidate will serve as a change agent, actively driving organizational efficiencies and continuous improvement (CI) efforts in conjunction with the Director, HR and partnering with the Organizational & Leadership Development (O&LD) team and other departments.  This role will champion a diverse workforce and support a culture of inclusion that will directly enhance the business objectives and goals of KARL STORZ.
An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of generalist experience in progressively responsible HR roles. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field Master’s degree strongly preferred. Relevant Human Resources work experience may be substituted for a degree. Experience in advising and mentoring leadership on all aspects of the employee life cycle is critical for any successful candidate

Your responsibilities:
  • Partners with leadership team as a trusted advisor in order to effectively facilitate, administer and execute established performance management processes such as, 1:1s, coaching discussions, performance development or improvement plans.
  • Reviews and recommends proactive changes to attract, motivate and retain a qualified workforce.
  • Partners with leadership team to develop suitable training and development initiatives for the employees
  • Partners with leadership team and compensation department to assess, evaluate and improve the internal compensation and benefits policies and schemes
  • Partners with leadership team to develop a solid career and succession planning for the employees
  • Partners with Staffing and leadership team to develop and manage a strategic recruiting plan that aligns with operational needs.
  • Partners with other HR functions and assigned leadership team(s) to develop and disseminate departmental or companywide communications effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Leads assigned HR projects and drives projects to completion and effective implementation.
  • Serve as a change agent in order to support the needs of the business
  • Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams of internal stakeholders and develop processes, procedures or systems for use within departments.
  • Consults and partners with leadership on complex employee relations issues requiring proactive and timely resolution, a calm level head and sensitivity while recognizing balance for business and employee needs.
  • Assist management at a strategic and tactical level to resolve issues and develop that align with the business direction and strategy.
  • Supports implementation of HR platforms and HRIS (Human Resource Information System)
  • Functions as the onsite HR generalist resource for HR laws, regulations, developments and their application while also developing and implementing appropriate policies with consistency and alignment.

  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficient in SAP (Employee Central, Success Factors) is a Plus

  • Proven ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to think and plan both strategically and tactically
  • Track record of plan, organize, analyze and establish priorities to achieve results
  • Willingness to work well under pressure as a self-starter, handling multiple conflicting tasks
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating and developing effective business relationships and working successfully across a variety of departments and levels.
  • Ability to track HR metrics and use other organizational data to build business cases for major initiatives.
  • Provide appropriate coaching and development feedback to managers and employees.
  • Assess employee development needs, make recommendations
  • Ability to think creatively in order to provide new ideas and suggestions for best practices
